Sleeve performance on my resume, what is the best way to do this?
Looking for advice on how to write about my performance and my sleeve on my resume?
I have been at a $5B+ fund for 3 years. I got my own sleeve in Jan 2023, starting off at $50M and now at $150M (after good performance in 2023). I wanted to mention my sleeve performance on my resume and also not appear too cocky by claiming to be "managing" this amount of money, since I am not a PM technically.
Wondering if anyone here has any advice?

Highlight Your Role: Clarify that while you are not the Portfolio Manager, you played a significant role in the sleeve's performance. You can mention any specific strategies or decisions that contributed to the growth.
Be Precise: Use bullet points to detail your responsibilities and achievements. For example, you might include bullet points like:
Show Teamwork: If your work was part of a team effort, make sure to indicate this. It shows you can collaborate effectively, a key skill in finance.
Avoid Jargon: While it's important to be specific, make sure your resume can be understood by someone who might not have a deep financial background.
Remember, the goal is to make your achievements stand out without overstating your position. It's about showing that you have had significant responsibility and have delivered results.

Either you have full discretion or you don’t. If your positions require sign-off don’t call yourself PM. Takes little effort to find out if someone claims to be PM and they aren’t. We had a case, where we doubted that someone was a PM and turned out he wasn’t.
I am definitely not a PM, but I just didn't know how to write about it on the resume. Do I write something along the lines of 'Initiated coverage for XYZ sub-sector in 2022, initiated $XM sleeve in January 2023 and growing sleeve size to $XM by end of 2023, contributing positively to fund performance" or can i actually write "Managing $XM sleeve, starting January 2023, contributing positively to fund performance"?
Not sure why people get so concerned about what they write on their resume. As long as it’s reasonable and you are prepared to be honest to tell HH/BD or initial call with head PM what the real deal is.
Also you could add more description about exactly how the sleever performed well, where is the actual alpha gained vs just performance.
