Summer Analyst vs. Investment Banking Summer Analyst?
Hey guys,
I'm currently a non-target freshman who just landed a "summer analyst" position at a small boutique investment bank in my city for post freshman summer. I'm curious as whether to list this position on my resume as solely a summer analyst because of the firm's reputation (rather small, not as well known boutique), or as to specify as an investment banking summer analyst, similar to how GS/MS/CS list their positions. The reason I ask is because in the future when I apply for BB SA positions, it might be good to specify that I've worked in investment banking prior even at a not-so-known firm. However, I don't think if that's the proper title considering its level is lower than these BB's offering the IBSA positions. Thoughts?
I don't really see there being any problem with this. Could also put "investment banking division".
Just put IBD summer analyst. At a full service bank, summer analyst could be mistaken for literally anything (s&t, prime brokerage, treasury, ibd, etc)--so probably better to just specify
