You need something to just get in the door. Most of this rubbish is about getting through the HR bs. It will be harder to break directly into IBD, maybe a summer internship a year later would help. I ended up doing something I knew I would hate for a year in a BB just to build a network before a lateral move.
Dude, you go to a target school. Assuming it's ivy, I have trouble believing you that you can't break in. You got interviews after all. Just polish up on your interview skills and you'll be fine. Your resume doesn't suck at all, given that you go to a target.
