Trading Resume, Non-Target

http://www.razume.com/documents/18002

So I've updated it a lot lately.

I added high school to help with the weak college I went to. I think this helps with making me not look like I went to some joke college that was too easy to get my high GPA. Also shows I have accomplishments and could have went to bigger schools, but the key word was the self-funded schooling at the top for college.

Added the fact that I've been investing on my own, I have no idea how I decided to not add this in.

Any critiques? Thanks guys.

I actually really like your resume. I think you will definitely get some S&T interviews. I think your resume is better than mine and I've had 3 S&T interviews.

I think you should change up your description of your internship at Toro Trading. Your position title deals with trading / market making, but your description sounds somewhat back-officey to me. Focus more on your training in what you actually want to be doing (trading), not on your ability to make a spreadsheet for ETFs or whatever. Just my opinion -- take it with a grain of salt.

Out of curiosity -- have you applied to SIG? Last year, I got to their final rounds absolutely no trading / finance / poker experience ever and I had no idea what I was doing (no prep, didn't know what trading was, etc.). If you prepped for the interview, you'd probably kill it -- I bet they'd love you.

I agree with CDM - put on SAT/ACT/GMAT/something

Question -- why does it says that you "fully self-financed education" when you got a full scholarship? Not a major issue, but it's a bit odd...

My ACT is the only one I took, and by far my worst accomplishment academically. Not something I am proud of. Got a 30 overall, but I wasn't interested in the test at all and didn't prepare for it. I'm taking the GRE in February and will replace H.S. with that then.

I figure I've made enough room for high school, and it obviously isn't hurting me, so until I find something else to replace it with I'll just keep it there, as the feedback I got from a recruiter was put it there to reinforce my College GPA

Self-Financed because I pay for my own car, rent, food, books, and et cetera

Align right everything on the right side of the paper (e.g., dates) using tab stops. Also make the horizontal lines extend to the end of your text on the right side of the paper. Looks good otherwise. Good luck!
