Two Degree Programs - Problem

Hello, dear WSO Community!

Long story short: - Applying for first year undergrad Insight Programs in EMEA for 2016 (must be first year undergrad) - Began Engineering two years ago, not a stellar performance (!) - Started Business degree this Fall semester

Problem: Since I haven't dropped the Eng program which I started a while back, I'm not sure how to list it in my resume. It makes me kind of ineligible for the programs.

Question: Should I delete the starting date and put only the expected graduation date (in 3 years, since I was sick)? Or just delete the degree and list only the coursework I have done? Any other ideas?

I don't want to open a hole on my resume so early on.

Best regards,
