Unique fact about myself in CV ?

I am currently a student at a target university and aiming to get a SA for 2021. I am originally from the Middle East/North Africa and participated in the Arab Spring and the peaceful demonstrations calling for freedom after the uprising that took place in my country. Do you think I should mention that in my CV instead of mentioning a very generic interest like "Middle Eastern and North African Politics" ? obviously this can be a good conversation starter and can make my cv stand out a bit.

I know at the end of the day it won't get me an interview if I am not qualified but it could give me a leg up that I desperately need.

Thank you.

rephrase it and incorporate it under interests at the bottom would be the way to go imo
