UPDATE: Urgent Review Needed

UPDATED: http://www.razume.com/documents/18520

Updated/edited resume. Can you guys take a look at my cases and projects section specifically and see if anything needs to be taken out.

I'm applying for summer finance internships right now, it'll be my first one so don't have a lot of relevant experience. I'd appreciate any comments and/or suggestions and want to thank anyone who reads it in advance.

If I left out any relevant info please let me know. Once again thanks.

Note: Margins are screwed up a bit on Razume and it increased the spacing. Sorry for that

Hey Rbratge,

I have a question, I realized on your resume you are part of Betta Gamma Sigma for business. I was trying to get into that and it was really confusing. can you please explain how you got into it and where I can apply or something because i really wanted to put that n my resume as well. any info you know would help. thanks

I'm also a member of BGS. You must be invited by faculty at your business school to join the society (invitations go out to the top 10% of undergrad business majors) -- you cannot apply.

Don't put your personal investment histroy on your resume. I did this and it does not go over well, you will be grilled on your investment deciscion process and be expected to remember everything that has happened in your portfolio. When you brag about having a 200% ROI you are opening yourself to a slew of questions in which you will surely not be prepared to answer... keep it simple, they realize you are inexperienced and won't ding you.

Agree with above post. 200% is great, but they will want to know all the details, methodology, risk mgmt. etc, a bunch of stuff you probably never thought of. Being unable to answer these questions in a sound manner then makes your 200% look either like you just got lucky or like you're blowing things out of proportion (if you can back everything up, then that's fine, but given your background I'm thinking that's not entirely the case).

Is the spacing in your education and work & leadership section supposed to look like that or is it just the razume thing? The spaces are somehow in the wrong places.

I would include the JPM audit competition though. Even if it's not entirely related, it's still somewhat technical and JPM is a big brand name. Plus it shows that you are competitive and somewhat successful (how many teams were there, if a lot it would be worth mentioning)

@merunforfun: Yeah I know haha. I'm going to take that out.

@Interested individual: I was invited into it, got a letter from one of my advisers. I would see who runs the chapter on your campus and ask them how you apply to get in. If I remember correctly it was top 7% of juniors and top 10% of seniors. It may vary from campus to campus. Hope that helps.

@HFFBALLfan123 and LAgrad09: Thanks a lot. I'm going to take it off and replace it with the JPM case instead.

Really appreciate the advice and will repost my resume after editing. Thanks again.
