Westpoint on your Resume?
would you put your 'selection' (even though you didn't join the course and chose to go to college instead) in West Point as an army cadet on your CV under 'Additional/Activities' section

I wouldn't. I don't list the colleges I COULD have gone to on my resume, and neither should you. Did you end up doing ROTC or anything?
No, that's stupid, and I'd question why you'd apply to West Point if you weren't going to go.
Are you going to put the fact that my bank offered you a job on your CV, even though you never worked here?
I'm a grad, and if I saw that I would laugh and throw out your resume.
That actually pisses me off--way to take a slot from someone who actually wanted it, and then waste it. Fucktard.
One, it's the USMA at West Point

That's really fucking stupid and it'll just piss people off
They don't have wait lists for congressional and senatorial nominations.
true, but I don't think it's unusual for a decent number of kids to bail on a acceptance to Army/Navy/Air Force each year, pretty sure those numbers are build into the system. It's definitely not for everyone, better decide it's not for you before you go, rather than halfway through plebe summer
The yield is actually pretty high, but I get your point. I think I was more inflamed that this person even considered putting this down. Getting in is the easy part.
