Will my extracurricular activites be seriously treated in a background check

Hello my friends I understand that it looks like a silly question. Hope you don't mind - from a novice in resume-writing.

I actually worked in a non-profit earlier this year and put it in my EA. However, the boss was somehow not satisfied w my work and kicked me out. My question is, can I still write this experience on my resume? I am afraid that if my future companies do a background check someday then I will be stabbed at the back.

Thoughts? Thank you.
