Will this get me dinged?
So, pretty much all the firms i'll be applying to are in New York but I'm a huge Boston sports fan and I was going to put that in the interests section of my resume. I've been told you should put things you are actually really interested in and can have a good conversation about, but I'm sure there are a ton of New York sports fans at these firms. Should I leave it out even if I'm really passionate about it or am I over thinking this?
definitely won't hurt you. I highly doubt that most of the people working in the industry even come from NYC so i don't think you'll have a problem
if you're 100% qualified and a firm won't interview you because you're a boston fan, maybe that's not a firm you'd want to work for in the first place.
