Advice for a High School senior year student?
Hello all. I'm trying to break into a respectable field in finance in an English-speaking country or the Middle East. I'll tell you a bit about my profile: I took IGCSEs and O levels. O levels (A*-E): A in Islamiyat and Urdu. IGCSEs (A*-E): A* in maths; A in physics, ICT, English as second language; B in chemistry. 1380 SAT (740 maths, 640 english) (I will be retaking the SAT on november 7th tho since I took the SAT too lightly during preparation), and ABB in AS (A in maths, B in physics and cs; passing score range is A-E), with final A2 predicted grades A*AA (A* in maths, A in the other two; passing score range is A*-E). 60-80k usd/year budget (funded by my father). Pakistani living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Currently, I'm mainly looking at the US (Considering Canada, UK and UAE too, do add your suggestions). My realistic undergrad university options are probably: Penn State, Rutgers, ASU, Ohio State, and maybe Indiana Kelley as a reach. I'm aware these aren't the best for high finance, but I really am willing to work hard - I regret not studying enough in school, but that will change. I also plan on doing CFA Level I (and maybe II) while working after my undergrad and then go for a T20 MBA to be able to access better roles with higher prestige, exit opportunities, and pay. If you guys were in my boots, what would you do? What advice do you guys have for me as for what I should do right now, what universities I should target, what extracurriculars I should build, what I should aim to do during university, and other things you guys think I should do. Thanks alot.
