Advice for accademic career

Im currently an italian student in my finaol year of my bacherlor degree in Finance.
I'd like to make a big "jump" to a Target school to get the best opportunities possible.
TBH i discovered during the past years that i am more inclined into Math subjects in fact my thesis will be in "exotic options". My GPA is 28,6/30 and i will try the GMAT in the near future.

I'd like to specialise more in a Mathish/STATs course rather than a traditional finance one even tho i dont mind a career in traditional finance roles.
Any suggestions? I know that math roles are really different than traditional finance once but I'd still like a general opinion about WHICH COURSE and  WHICH SCHOOL to choose.
