Any masters programs to transition into becoming a trader?

Graduated with a CS degree and am currently a software engineer. However, am really interested in the world of trading (Not as a developer, but as a trader)

Are there any masters programs that are recruiting targets for trading firms? Any advice is appreciated.

Princeton MFin is the gold standard and sounds right up your alley - finance program that leans data/quant heavy for admissions and curriculum - and would position you for pretty much any quant/trader role you want, especially with a CS background.

Downside is it's a 2 year program and extraordinarily competitive. But if you have a good profile, worth a look. Others to look into would be MIT, Columbia MSFE, LSE, Oxford. Question though, have you tried networking your way in? If you're a SWE at a legit firm and analyst level, I'd think firms would at least give you an interview for a lateral without the whole MFin.

Thanks for your advice. I can definitely try networking but am under the impression firms will only be interested in me as a dev.

What is your opinion regarding an MFE degree?
