Anyone ever got in a BS without a GMAT score?

Curious to know, killing my ass off to get a decent grade. Has anyone ever been considered without a GMAT score?

Certains BS states that it is simply recommended... is it bullshit?

You will need either the GMAT or the GRE for all top programs (e.g., H/S/W). MIT Sloan waived the GMAT / GRE requirement because of COVID this year (I think Ross and Darden may have as well) but I would imagine this was a one-time thing, at least for Sloan. If the program recommends the GMAT, you're probably best off taking it.

If you want to maximize your chances of getting into a top program, you should plan to take the GMAT. As the poster above me mentioned, the GMAT is generally preferred to the GRE.

Can confirm Darden did; however, it was only granted to ridiculously small portion of the applying class during the late spring/summer of 2020. Basically if you weren’t a top .1% applicant for that cohort you were going to be required to take gmat. The admissions director told me it had to go through their board of visitors to even apply for the GMAT waiver so I’d consider any hope of a waiver for 2021 to be nonexistent especially now that things are more open than back in April
