Arts and Science BASc at UCL

I wanted to apply to a course called Arts and Sciences BASc at UCL https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/undergraduate/degrees/arts-and-sciences-basc-2024

and its a course where i choose a major pathway in engineering and science where i will study maths and cs and a minor pathway where ill choose a social science and study econ, for a career in IB, eg CF or S&T would this hinder me or should i take a gap year and reapply to a more relevant course

Good university (target) good degree since you get to pick what you do Wouldn’t take a gap year unless you think you have high odds of getting into Oxbridge, you should be fine placing into IB if you try. Degree doesn’t matter much nowadays anyway, and your degree is still fairly good.
