Best college for IB/HF recruiting?
Hey all. High school senior here in the midst of the college application process. Ultimate career goal is to open my own hedge fund in a major financial hub. I’ve applied to UMaimi (accepted, 50k annual cost), UVA (accepted, in state tuition), NYU (have a pending Early Decision application which I don’t know if I should cancel or not), Boston University (hear back in April), and UPenn (hear back in April). Since I got into UVA I was thinking about switching my NYU early decision to regular but I also heard that NYU was way better for investment bank recruiting. Any suggestions?? Thanks
UVA and NYU are peers for recruiting, but UVA is a lot more fun. You are also in-state. Is cost of attendance a factor for you or not? If you get into Penn, that would be better than UVA and NYU, depending on your situation. That being said, do not make your decision based off perceived recruiting differences among these schools.
BTW, you probably knew this, but John Griffin is relatively involved w UVA
and if that's your real name, change it
Would switch NYU to regular. Go to UVA unless you get into Penn.
agree w this
