Best consulting experience for M7 MBA?

Hi all,

Current senior in college, signed a return offer to work T2 strategy consulting (LEK/S&/EY-P/K/OW) in big city (SF/BOS/NYC/CHI). Applying to M7 deferred later this year but know it's a long shot so will likely be giving it another go a few years from now.

Goal is to have the MBA sponsored, return back, and continue climbing the ranks. Long-term want to hit C-Suite so don't want to exit consulting unless the exit opp is around the SVP level... probably only getting that if I'm a partner. So I guess the long-term goal is to be a partner.

What consulting experience/non-firm involvements will look best on an app? Firm tends to do a lot of CDD work, so I think that might be an area to lean into. Also, might get pushed back due to the economy so thinking of what I might do in the interim.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!
