Breaking in for MBA Internship Post-MBA
Hey All,
I did a one-year MBA from a non-target state school and graduated last August. Obviously a poor decision on a number of fronts, but I didn't know I wanted to break-in to IB or even really that IB existed before starting my MBA. I know I should have done more research before applying to the MBA program, and that is on me. But, as it stands now, I have spent the past year or so learning all about IB and even taking a detailed modeling course to get technicals up to a good degree. Started to reach out for informational interviews and not getting too much of a response this far. I want to apply when applications come out in September for an MBA summer internship for summer '26. What are my best options to pursue this, and any strategies so that more people will respond to my requests for informational interviews so I have a chance of getting offered an interview when the times comes in a few months? Targeting Chicago or NY for IB.
Thanks!
