Bsc Econ vs Finance UK
I was just wondering which degree is viewed as more desirable for IB. For reference I am trying to decide between Warwick Econ and Bath finance with a placement. Can anyone help?

warwick econ places wayy better, but bath placement is probably better than any other semi like Durham/Bristol etc.
Bath is considered an upper semi-target university—comparable to Durham, Bristol, and perhaps King’s—whereas Warwick is generally regarded as one of the six fully target universities for top firms, so I'd say prospects are slightly to moderately better at WW. Also one thing to note; Warwick is typically seen as the weakest among the targets, so its okay to say that the difference between LSE and Warwick is much bigger than the difference between Warwick and other upper semi's (Bristol/Bath/Durham etc.). Also FYI the BS Finance program at Bath is very new (not to be mistaken for accounting and finance), so we don't know much about how it will perform.
Yeah I know Warwick is ranked way better but I thought the course looked way more relevant to IB (they offer a literal course called investment baking), and the placement could lead to a return offer if you do well. But would you say that simply going to a target school to do pure Econ was better?
The relevance of your course to IB is... Not relevant.
Someone at Oxford doing Chemistry probably has a better shot at IB than someone at Bath doing finance.
As for the placement, there are hardly any actual IB placement roles (some in S&T etc but hardly any actually in IB).
