Buyside placemenet at Booth this year
Not sure how accurate these numbers are but they're from a friend who's a 2nd year there and went through full-time recruiting for HF and IM.
Apparently, around 20 booth students got offers from PIMCO(account management and product management), 2 got dimensional fund (david booth's firm), 1 got Citadel (global equities), and no one got AQR (even though cliff asness is a booth phd).
I'm sure some of the PIMCO hires were portfolio management (2 during my year, class of 2011). Also, AQR isn't as sexy as it seems, they don't hire into the investing team unless you're a quant PhD. MBAs only do product/account management.
20 seems high for PIMCO - 2011 employment report shows 6 FT, and 3 interns.

Possible that around 20 people got FT offers, but most of them turned it down. PIMCO account/product management is glorified sales, not "high-level" finance.

Pimco hires about 40 mbas each year so i doubt half come from booth
