Cross posted from IB forum - Trends for banking and MBA
From what I have read there seems to be a trend of MBA schools moving away from banking applicants - maybe it is more a function of the economy and reduced number of applicants from these back grounds. At the same time I read that banks are putting more importance on post-mba hires that have relevant experience. As opposed to career switchers. (Sorry I dont have a source but i read an article today on oasis)
What do these two trends mean for banks specifically ones from smaller shops? Is this a positive or negative for those type of applicants?
