Current student at Target school. Couldn’t make it into any clubs

Hi I am a new transfer into a target school. I applied to all the finance clubs but wasn’t accepted due to what they call (competitive recruiting season) I think tbh it was because I don’t have a GPA at my current school due to be a transfer (which is valid tbh).

I was curious how this changes the importance to networking and also how important networking should be overall. Being at a target does this give me any leeway or should I still be trying for 10 convos a week like I was at my previous non target.

Doesn’t really matter if you go to a T20 target. You can always study technicals on your own or get help from the career center.

If you’re at an Ivy or equivalent it doesn’t matter. Networking is all that matters, and yes clubs will help you get people to pick up the phone, but worst case you now just have to send more emails.

Btw had literally the exact same experience as a transfer to a T10 and am at an EB.
