Masters-level recruitment in Australia isn’t really a well established pipeline. That being said, i’d consider the master in applied finance at macquarie - oddly enough it’s much better regarded than either of the two you mentioned, and tends to have strong recruitment. Just my 2c.
As for whether it’ll get your foot in the door, that depends on your prior experience. If you’re coming straight from undergrad you’re going to struggle, as you’ll look like you’re just trying to whitewash or compensate for poor marks. It’s a competitive market out there, good luck.

Okay that’s new, everyone else said no point going to a non-go8, and if it’s because of the qs rankings you are suggesting this, qs rankings are bullshit, also is hiring at macquarie high because macquarie companies hire there ?

Bit late, but as someone with knowledge of the scene - Go8 or bust is mainly true for undergrads. For postgrad recruiting into finance, what little of it exists at least, the big 3 are Macquarie (specifically their MAF, idk if I'd recommend their MBA for finance recruiting), UNSW and UniMelb. No clue on why Mac's rep doesn't flow down well to their undergrad recruiting though.

No - nothing to do with QS, it’s just well regarded in the field.
Macquarie uni and Macquarie bank are unrelated.
Go8 doesn’t really matter past undergrad provided you’re doing the right degree.
what about CFA ?
Not really that helpful for getting into IB. If you want to go into funds management, sure, but very few people have a CFA in banking.
