Did you guys use flash cards while studying for the GMAT Qunt and Verbal?

I just started making some and they take so long. I've been reviewing the highlighted text prior to this on a rotation. I've always been real bad at studying and and memorizing info.

Are flashcards effective for this type of material?

Personally, I think doing flashcards is a huge waste of time. The material you have to learn is very straightforward, even a high schooler could do it. What is tested is more your ability to think critically and accurately as fast as possible. The way I did it, and something different might work for you, was to buy theory books (I used the manhattan ones), revise everything and then just do a bunch of questions. To give you an idea, I did over 1'000 questions during my prep. Hope this helps

If I remember correctly, aren’t flash cards useless? It’s not like a set word list they use and test you on. Heck, they don’t even use the pre-fixes suffixes more than once (I think). From what I remember, the advice was to just see as many words as possible while studying.

Only took the exam once so I could be wrong.
