Disciplinary action at school

I went to a party on campus and there was a lot of underage drinking going on, but because I was present I was subject to disciplinary actions by my university.

The problem is that I am applying to HBS 2+2. Will that severely effect my changes of getting in? Has anyone successfully fought to get that off your record.

How did you get a disciplinary action for going to a party? Was it in a dorm room or something? Everyone at the frat parties and stuff is all underage.

make it hard to spot the general by working like a soldier

That's some real communist bull, but unless you were charged with an actual crime by the police, I doubt you have anything to worry about. I would check with the school still, but anecdotally, I know a couple idiots who have been suspended from my university or kicked out of their dorms for things unrelated to academic integrity who have nothing on their transcripts, which is the only thing another institution would see.

Were you present drinking or were you just present? Will it go on your record?

I wasn't drinking and I was just present. It's not going to go on my records since its a first offense but in the application they do ask if I have any incidences of that nature at any university

If it's not going on your record you have nothing to worry about. Martoma got into Stanford even after being kicked out of Harvard law. I think your petty attendance at a party will be fine.

But serious, why weren't you drinking?
