Dissertation Advice

Hi!

I would like to ask for the "community advice" in a following matter. I am about to finish a MSc in Finance, in UK. The last barrier between me and my degree is a dissertation. It is going to be my biggest academical work and I got stuck right in the beginning.

There are two topics that I would be interested to write about:

  1. Private equity - but I can not decide on a problem that I would be solving/researching in my work.
  2. Company restructuring - interest me a lot, but again the actual topic is an issue as CR is quite a wide topic

In both cases I am also worried if I will be able to find enough materials to do some research. In case anyone has some ideas for the topics that would be both academically acceptable and interesting to write - I will be very glad to hear them.

Thank you for your time!
