The same would go for the CPA and students who have a significant background in finance already. I would be kinda weird for a hedge fund analyst or a PE associate to take like introduction to accounting or financial statement analysis.

I was weirdly not allowed to skip core finance, but was able to get out of an accounting class and an advanced investment class. I think it just depends on your program.
