Does being in the Business school matter THAT much?

I’m currently applying to at Econ Masters programs at target schools for spring admissions.

My undergrad was in Econ (non-business) at Ohio State. graduated in may and working a retail job rn. Absolutely hate it, and want to get something going on now.

Problem is most legit MSF programs start in the fall, but there are Econ MS programs (Non-business) at great schools like USC, John Hopkins, and Boston College.

Should I wait till the fall if I want to get recruited into Consulting or banking, or would the name be enough?
