Doubt regarding IB recruiting from Canadian Bschools
So I have just received an offer from one of the Target Candian B schools for their undergrad program (Ivey/Queens). I have heard that top BBs and MBB have on-campus recruitment at the university. So does this mean that I don't have to network as much with Bankers to land a spot in IB as they literally come to campus to give us interviews? Or is networking still important even if we have OCR?
I am quite confused about this and as I am a first-gen college student with literally no one from my family in finance it would be very helpful if someone could just explain to me how OCR actually works.
Thank you so much
It makes it easier but you'll still have to network your ass off. You'll see a big chunk of your class will be gunning for banking and MBB and there just aren't enough open slots.

There are broad based networking events then online applications on your school's portal. Some firms will sponsor case comps and do smaller, private events with the finalists or winners. There are others who won't drop a posting but will ask your career services for a select resume book based on some criteria.
