Dual Degree vs Single + Minor

Hi all,

I'm a sophomore at a non-target state school and I'm currently pursuing a dual degree in Finance + Statistical Data Science. I'm at a crossroads right now, and unsure if I want to continue, or switch to just Finance + a Minor in Analytics. Finance has always been my "primary" degree, while my dual degree has been something than I genuinely enjoy learning, although it would have limited benefit for my career.

As of now, I'm taking 19 credits and would need to take an average of 18 for my remaining 5 semesters in order to finish both of my degrees. Switching to the Single Degree + Minor would allow me to "coast" and only take 12 a semester the rest of the way.

I'm involved with a lot of extracurricular activities, and even two weeks into the semester I basically have no free time (or free nights). I still fully believe that I would be able to get it done, but three years of this sounds God awful and sustaining my 4.0 would require some voodoo magic.

I'm always kind of had my mind set on pursuing a dual degree, however at this point I don't want to fall victim to the sunk cost fallacy. I would love some advice on how "worth it," it would be to continue my dual degree, especially since a full BS in Data Science will no doubt open a ton of doors for me, and help to future proof myself to an extent as well. I want to make sure that I am still making the best decision for my career, and not just making an impulse/weak-minded decision.

T.L.D.R. Do I drop the dual degree so I can have some free time and get some birdies or do I stop being a little b*tch and send it because ultimately it probably helps my career?
