EMBA - Fuqua vs. Cornell-Queens

Hi All,

I've been fortunate enough to be accepted into both the Duke Weekend EMBA program and the Cornell-Queens EMBA program and need some help in deciding which to choose.

My background: 8 years of work experience, currently in a management role at a small consulting firm in the mid-Atlantic. My goals coming out of the program is to move up into a CFO role at the same or similar type firm. Not looking to change industries, and not interested in BB or PE/VC.

The Cornell program is more convenient in terms of location (boardroom is half hour from where I live vs. 5 hour drive to Durham) and time away from work (Saturday's only vs. every other Fri/Sat at Fuqua). However my feeling is that Fuqua is slightly more highly regarded as an institution, and has some flexibility in terms of electives and concentrations, whereas the CQEMBA is a lock-step program.

I would like to choose the program that would a) best prepare me for a CFO-role, b) offer the largest networking opportunities, and c) carry the most weight from a brand perspective in the future. For various reasons these are the only 2 programs I am considering and would love to get some feedback from anyone (and in particular any current students/alumni) on which program is better.

Thanks in advance!
