ESSEC vs ESCP vs EDHEC - Masters in Finance

These schools offer both MiM and Finance Masters. Most reviews online pertain about the MiM course. I wanted to know if these schools are target for their Masters in Finance program as well. From what I have gathered

ESSEC(Target) > ESCP(Target) > EDHEC (Semi-Target). Is this correct?

All programs claim to employ students in various finance role. I would appreciate if someone could help me understand if there are any preferences/pipelines by recruiters(example- EDHEC student mostly go into risk roles)

I am non-EU candidate and I am open to any location in EU, no bias here. Other programs that I am considering- EPFL MFE, HSG Banking and Finance, Oxford MFE

For the MiM : ESSEC is basically on par with ESCP (ESSEC was historically considered slightly better but honestly the difference is marginal, you can basically get the same outcomes from both school), and EDHEC is in a tier below, alongside EMLyon, although it is still a decent school in finance.

For the MiF : In France, MiF programs are considered less target than MiM, but you can still stand out if you already have relevant finance finance experience prior to your master. ESCP's MiF has become much better than ESSEC in recent years, so if you have to choose between the two, go for ESCP. EDHEC's MiF is honestly not worth it in my opinion, especially if you are not french/EU citizen.

I have total 3+YoE with 1.5 ( if I join in Sept-26) in supporting Equity Research Analysts. Would this help in screening / compete with MiM candidates?

Could you please elaborate on why you wouldn't recommend EDHEC MiF to non-French/EU folks? The curriculum looks great, plus they have internship as part of program ( great to land first role )

For MiF escp > essec >>edhec. If you check highly elitist PE/IB teams like PAI, tikehau, ardian or R&co there's sometimes more alumni from escp than hec even.

Internationals have it much easier to enter essec or edhec for this program. Escp cohort is mostly francophone and come from typical paths (IB/markets internships already) which can also act as a filter.

You'll have good outcomes from any of the top 3. Edhec you can forget, it's not worth it

Strictly speaking top 3 business schools in france are now insead, hec and escp. But if you look at only grande écoles then hec escp and essec.

As someone from essec, I'd recommend escp mif. There's a lot more impressive profiles coming from there.

Ofc it's my Alma mater so I'll defend it but essec have messed up recruiting for the program after covid. They take anyone literally. If you go to essec go there for the MiM which is MUCH better for finance outcomes.
