Financial certificate from NYU or Masters in Finace from Penn State?
I’m trying to advance my career and hopefully move up within my company in the next year or two. My plan is to either try to get a masters from Penn State within those two years or go for a financial certificate from NYU. The reason why I want to do this is because my UG is not in finance or accounting like all of the SVPs and VPs in my current company. Would the certificate hold any merit to recruiters or potential new employers? Would the 2 years spent on a master be worth it in the long run? at what age does experience in the industry trump having a masters?
