FIS Alpine Ski Athlete MBA admissions

Hello everyone! I know that elite athletes in team sports have an advantage in MBA admissions because they probably have leadership and teamwork skills etc, but I was wondering if that was the case for athletes that compete in individual sports like skiing, swimming, running, tennis etc.

In my undergraduate years I was an alpine ski athlete with many international FIS races while maintaining perfect grades (First Class equivalent) in a difficult engineering course load and while also being involved in couple more projects.

In addition I have a story to tell because I was member of the national team (of a European country) back in my teenage years before I suffered a serious knee injury that led in surgery but I managed to make a comeback.

Will my extracurricular sports experience be considered an asset in the MBA admission process?
