Freshman (Sophomore Credit Standing) Help
Hello, I'm a freshman at my state university and I'm looking for some advice, not only for what to get involved in early, but advice for looking for an internship for what is technically my sophomore summer. As of now, I'm doing a dual-degree in finance + applied math, in the honors program, and I'm in three various business related clubs. I'm focused on getting a 4.0 gpa obviously, and trying to set myself up for future leadership positions in clubs, but I was wondering what else I could do. I plan on getting a job on campus, since I worked all throughout HS.
Internship-wise, there are a couple of ones that I've found that I can possibly apply to, however the one I that I looked in depth (they talked at one of my club meetings), requires an accounting credit 1 year in advance, however I haven't taken, or have an AP credit for that class, so it's off the table. As long as most of the internships don't have a requirement like that I hope I could be in a good spot.
I was wondering if any of you guys had any advice for setting myself up for a good future in college, or getting a "first summer" internship. Also, any general college tips would be nice as well. I understand that there is more to life than my job, and I reserve time to go to the gym every day, and do "college stuff" lol.
