GMAT validity and W.E.

Assuming that I give GMAT in Dec. 2012, would it hold valid if I am to attend the 2018 class and send in my apps. before Dec. 2017?

I'm just curious about this because I'm writing GMAT for Msc Fin programs (1.5 years) and would hopefully have 3-4 years W.E by the time I matriculate.

I'm pretty sure that the gmat expiration date is 5 years upon the application deadline. So in your case it would be valid, but you should double check for each school.

Was also looking into this myself - it's either the submission date or the application deadline that is used to check GMAT validity, depending on the school, though I did see one thing that said only applications from Jan 1st 5 years before the start year would be valid, however haven't seen anything else to back that up so if true very rare.

So yeah you should be fine, though as Devolution says you probably should double check anyway.
