I’m surprised by the prior answers. If you applied to our bank without a gmat you’d immediately be dinged.

For others, has it really changed that much in the last 3 years? When I recruited 9/10 banks asked and I know many that had a hard cutoff. No GMAT or GRE substitute is a massive red flag in my opinion.

Is it the perfect test? Obviously not. But if you don’t have either the intelligence or commitment to get 700+ I think that says a lot, unless you have an otherwise stellar resume
