Graduate School

Hello everyone,

I am currently a rising junior at New York University, Shanghai. I have a good academic standing with a 3.7 GPA, and I am majoring in Business and Finance. However, I have not been able to secure any internships for summer 2025. I cannot intern in China due to student visa regulations. I will be studying away in New York next academic year, however can't intern there either due to visa regulations as well(I am an international student). After university I will be doing an compulsory military service for 2 years in my home home country, and I'm very concerned about my future after graduation and army. I am thinking of applying to grad school for Masters in Finance. However, I would be 25 by the time I get out of the army, so I would graduate grad school at 26-27. Would that be too late to break into investment banking or corp finance? Would grad school in general be a good tool to break into investment banking? Thank you in advance.
