Haas 2021 IB Summer Associate Recruiting Results

Posting for future reference - some of the data is incomplete so posting what I know.

21 students participated in at least two recruiting events (9 full time, 12 part time)  I am aware of at least 3 who only applied to one or two banks and didn't get an interview.

15 received offers (5 full time, 10 part time).

Placements in SF: Piper Sandler, MS Menlo, Moelis, Citi, Barclays, Greenhill, JPM, Wells Fargo

Placements in NY: RBC, BofA

Interesting, thanks for posting. Curious to know if low rates for FT was a matter of lower prep, less spots, more competition/everyone wanting TMT or all the above. Would also imagine that any advantages for West Coast "local" networking might have been less relevant with virtual recruiting

I'd say every person, save for maybe one, who actually gave it their all during recruiting got an internship and many got multiple offers. Most of those who failed to land a spot were half-assing the process.

Students here definitely prefer consulting over banking. I don't know the exact numbers, but friends of mine in the consulting club have told me the class this year did very well.

Do you happen to have more specific numbers for consulting, esp. for MBB? I did a linkedin search of Haas MBA alums at MBB awhile back and was surprised to see it was lower than expected (like maybe 2 or 3 a year?). Most of the Haas alums were post-undergrad and not MBA.
