Harvard/Wharton/Penn Chances?
Looking for opinions on my chances at the top 3 business schools
3.8 GPA Environmental Economics & Policy from UC Berkeley, including A+ on Senior Thesis 740 on GMAT 3 years of work experience at a boutique economic consulting firm focusing on energy/utilties Played goalie on the club ice hockey team at Cal Played guitar in the jazz program at cal Volunteer, fund-raise and participate in a number of charity bike rides
About as good as any bro.
Most important question: what kind of leadership have you shown on your job? Any career progression? Cal is a great school (up the street from me), but all I can see is that you have the ball over the net in terms of numbers. Goalie, jazz band, great, but they aren't going to get you in.
The rest is up to how you show up in life, on the job, and why would someone want to bet on you to be one of the movers and shakers of tomorrow?
You can get in anywhere as long as you can put together a seemingly coherent but ultimately BS goals story.
You realize that Wharton is UPenn's business school, right?
I hope your not Asian if so your missing non-profit activities/NGO stuff.
You have a joint probability of 28.72% of gaining admission to at least one of the schools.
I got 18.8% bro. Looks like we used different equations.
harvard is within reach. wharton is yours to lose.
be sure to play up the renewal energy game... clearly your academics can hold up, even if you're an asian (and it sounds like you might be)
