HEC MiM or Bocconi MSc Finance?
Hi everyone,
I have got admitted into both HEC MiM and Bocconi MSc Finance programs, and I am weighting the options.
My goal is to end up in IBD (M&A) in London, so I was wondering which of the two program is the best. Bocconi MSc Finance is free since I have got admitted with full scholarship. I was thinking to go to Bocconi as technical preparation is stronger and probably HEC and Bocconi brands are almost equal in Finance.
What do you guys think? Any ideas/opinions?
Thanks!
HEC is a stronger brand name. Would go there. Long term it is better also
Are you sure about that? And in case, that slightly stronger brand name justifies 52k and the MiM (Management) name over Finance?
stronger brand yes but justify the large price difference no
I’m not even sure if it’s a stronger brand in London…
DEFINITELY doesn’t justify the 52k. Go to Bocconi, learn a tonne, pay waaaay less money and have very solid odds of making it in London. Good luck!
it is we must be honest but clearly not worth 52k
Totally agree that brands are equal in London - these small alleged differences between HEC/Bocconi/etc are always overcooked (mainly by people who attended neither)
Imho having a full ride from Bocconi is a no brainer.
Easy one. If you’re French I’d 100% go with HEC MiM. In all other cases I would pick Bocconi MFin, given you have a full scholarship and recognition is the same in London/NY/Zurich/Frankfurt etc.
