I am looking to career switch/switch RE firms. Some Bschool apps recommend a LOR from your current supervisor, but my current supervisor would question/figure out I wanted out if I were looking at obtaining an MBA since it wouldn't benefit me in my current role.
I also assume it is the same for most pursuing an MBA. It feels vulnerable to ask "Mr. MD I want to get my MBA and no longer work here. Want to help?" How have you all asked your MD to write your LOR for BSchool to obviously transfer to PE/buyside?
