How do you qualify for titles when you do IB -> MBA -> RE
I have two years of IB experience then did my MBA, and now have about 3 years of RE experience. As I had an MBA and IB experience I went directly into an associate role. When looking at most RE firms and talking to HH you really need 5-7 years of RE experience to move up to Sr associate or VP (depending on firm structure). Is the title more meaningful having been an associate, or does the total number of RE experience matter more?
I don't want to be stuck in an associate role just racking up years.
