How important is the IR section of the GMAT if your main score is good?
I recently took the GMAT and scored 770. However, I didn't do so well in the IR section (5/8). Is this bad for admissions into B-School? I also am interested in MBB post B-school and don't know if they care about the IR score (I read somewhere they prefer 6 or higher)
I'd rather not re-take it honestly. Studying for it sucked the life out of me and I'm happy it's over. I wouldn't want to do it unless the 5/8 really holds me back.
Your IR score will have literally no impact, at all, on B school or MBB acceptances.
As a remark--quick google search can confirm this, and it honestly sounds like you're trying to flex the 770 more than actually asking for advice.
Wasn't flexing
If we’re here to flex, I got an 8/8 even though I forgot the test would have this section. There ya go.
Congrats!
