How to get admitted into a deferred admission MBA?

I just finished up my summer internship at a BB investment bank in New York, and I now realize that will eventually want to get an MBA. How do I get accepted into a deferred admission program? What schools would be within reach for me? Assume I attend a top undergraduate business program, I have a solid GPA (3.8+), and I have not yet taken the GMAT/GRE.

Here are a few suggestions:

  1. Maintain your already high GPA.
  2. Get an above average GMAT/GRE.
  3. Assume leadership roles on campus and make a difference.
  4. Clarify why you want an MBA and the deferred admit.
  5. It's not clear to me if you are a rising junior or senior. If the former, get another great internship for the upcoming summer.

If you are a rising senior, you may be interested in https://www.accepted.com/quiz/mba-deferred-admissions-calculator-quiz</a">The Deferred MBA Admissions Calculator. it's a free assessment tool.
