IBD at BU?

How is BU for undergrad to get into IBD?

It is the same price as U-M (out of state) where I have decided to go? BU is for their business program, UMICH is for econ.
What about econ at NYU?

I'm worried about not getting any recruiting opportunities going into econ..

If by BU you mean Boston University, forget about IBD.

Econ at NYU wil require a lot, and i mean a lot, of networking. It's not impossible, but improbable. As an Econ major you will constantly be asked the "why not Stern if you're interested in Investment Banking" question. The upside to NYU, you're in NYC and have access to firms.

Econ at Michigan will get you interviews for IBD (mainly Chicago offices). Be warned that you'll be competing with Ross students and will be required to demonstrate more interest and passion for IBD than Stern students. Easier said than done. Just make sure to study hard and exploit that HUGE alumni network.

Personally, I'd choose Michigan. College experience. Great academics. College sports. Hot chicks. Great social life. Plus, NYU = Columbia rejects. FACT
