IIT vs US colleges?

I am a student in India beginning JEE prep. I have received high awards in INOI, INPhO, and regional math competitions and believe I have a strong chance at cracking a mid-tier IIT at the very least. However, I can also choose to apply to colleges in the US. Which will give me better opportunities in the long term? If I stay in India I was planning to work in IBD in Singpore/other SE asia office, and then transfer. The other option is to work in tech, then either pursue an internal transfer to the US, or attend IIM And then transfer to the US and pursue VC/pe. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thank you
