Imperial MSc Finance and Accounting vs MSc Finance
Hi,
I applied to Imperial for the MSc Finance. I didn't get it but I was given an offer for the MSc Finance and Accounting course.
From what I have read, the MSc Finance course is fairly well regarded. But is the MSc Finance and Accounting course?
There was some discussion regarding this here:

The general consensus seems to be that it's still fairly well regarded, but less of a target than the flagship mfin programme.
Thanks a lot.
Did you apply elsewhere and get accepted? How about places like LSE, Warwick, King's College, etc..? Do they have Msc Fin programs such as those at Imperial? Also, what are your goals post masters?
I applied to LSE MSc Finance and UCL MSc Finance.
I got an offer for UCL but not LSE.
I'm not entirely sure what I want to do after the masters.
Hey there,
Looking at applying there too next year. For curiosity reasons, what were your stats?
i.e degree classification, gmat, internships, top russell group etc
I just finished my third year at semi-target in UK. I am predicted a first.
I did very well in my January exams (averaged 83) and applied after getting my results. I didn't do the GMAT. I applied quite late and thought I would run out of time and wouldn't be able to manage doing it alongside my degree.
I am an atypical candidate. I had medical problems so I took two years out after my second year and have no internships. But I have done well academically. I'm not entirely sure what to do so I just thought about applying to do an MSc to keep options open.
The UK has rolling admissions for most programs I've seen, which means first come first serve. You seem to have been a good candidate, applying late probably led to you not getting an offer from LSE/ICL MSc Finance.
