Indiana University vs Cornell

Hi I currently attend Indiana University as a finance major at the Kelley school. I didnt get into the Investment banking workshop, but I can reapply next year. However, I also applied to transfer to Cornell and I got in, but the main problem is I got into their school of Ecology as a policy analysis and management. Was wondering if cornell recruiting office sepereated itself between colleges and would banks really care about my major if I already know my technical?

Wtf ecology? Here's the internal transfer link. I think you missed the Fall deadline on May 1, and AEM says they only take transfers for the fall. Not sure about Hotel Admin

As someone in a past IBW thread said: you were either weird, bad at interviewing, or somebody didn't like you in the club. If you can fix what went wrong, you'll get in. Except I'll add that if you're a sophomore currently then they probably won't take you as a junior, meaning you'd have to spend 5 years at the university and at least have an internship this summer if they're going to take someone who missed the 2023 SA recruiting cycle.

From an eye test, ivy-league non-major is better than taking another chance on the IBW. If financial costs are a factor, non-IBW can still network and get into Chicago.

AEM is probably the best major at Cornell with respect to placement but kids from Hotel and ILR also place pretty well and there are so many kids from other majors like PAM who break into banking too. Unless you're going to be absolutely saddled with debt and don't want to bear that, I think picking Cornell here is a pretty easy call.
