International Scholar Laureate Program, anybody know anything about this?

So I got an email from the "International Scholar Laureate Program" stating:

"Dear Scott,

Congratulations! You have been nominated to attend the International Scholar Laureate Program (ISLP) Delegation on Business in your choice of Australia, China or the United States of America. As a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society member, you have been chosen for this honor based on your exemplary academic performance.

As a Scholar Laureate, you and a group of the world’s top business students will experience special access to the people, places and perspectives behind one of the world’s top economic powerhouses.

As a result of this honor, you will go on-site with a global advertising agency in Sydney to understand the role of branding in building a business, meet with members of the American Chamber of Commerce in China to discuss China’s business climate or network with American entrepreneurs over lunch to hear how these business leaders started their own companies.

No matter which country you choose, you will attend fascinating lectures by top business people, explore new areas of interest, make new friends and return with not only a new perspective on these exciting nations, but also on the career ahead of you.

It’s an experience that many of our alumni say gave them a real edge in their business careers. However, space is very limited. So, please visit www.xxxxxxxx.org and enroll as soon as possible with your Student ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. "

Now I go to the website and it's saying that I have to pay ~$4000 to do one of those things.... needless to say, hell no I can't afford it.

Does ANYBODY think this would be worth it? I googled this program and it says it is supplied by a private, for-profit company so it's lookin like they gave this to any phi theta kappa member. Even if I don't go to this, could I still write down that I was nominated for this or would I have to actually go to one of the things to be able to put it down on a resume?

Thanks in advance.

Don't do it. You shouldn't have to pay $4k to participate in their "program."

You think I could put it down on a resume? I mean I was nominated... or would saying that even though I didn't actually go / it's a no name program hurt me?
